"Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people" Eph. 6:7
Dates: JUNE 20-25
There is a signup outside of Pastor Jordan's office. Or contact him directly and he can put you on the list.
It's tough to say exactly what the week will look like, but you will be assigned to a specific team for the week. For example, some students may serve with the housekeeping team and help take care of cleaning the various buildings on the property. Some students may be on the maintenance crew and help with a lot of the outdoor needs that arise during the week - including things like setting up campfires in the evenings. Some may also be kitchen workers that serve in the prep, serving, and cleanup of meals.
Wherever you are placed, this is a great opportunity to serve with JOY! Those who came last year can attest to the fact that it can be pretty tough work at times, but we serve with a smile and do our best to serve as if working for the LORD, not just for people.
What time are we leaving? They would like us there by NOON so the church van will leave at about 11:40 a.m. from TRBC. You may also drop your child off directly at Bair Lake, but they need to be there by noon. There will not be any high school Sunday school that morning. Students who are not joining us on the mission trip will be able to join Dave Parks' Sunday school class.
What time will we be back? Rough estimate is 5:30p.m. back at TRBC. We will have students contact their parents when we are about to leave Bair Lake.
You must fill out these two waivers and bring them with you on the 20th.
